FRIENDLY HOURS

Reopens

Tuesay, September 9th

The last day for Friendly Hours was on
Thursday, June 19th. A huge thank-you and a
big hug to all our wonderful volunteers who give so much of their time and of themselves every Tuesday and Thursday.

Thank you also to our guests who make these lunches so enjoyable. We will miss you all. We will re-open on Tuesday, Sept. 9th and look forward to seeing you all then.


OUTDOOR MASS

Sunday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m

at Our Lady of the Assumption Church

The Outdoor Mass for the Saanich Peninsula
Parish will be held on September 14th at Our
Lady of the Assumption at 10:30a.m.

Note:
there will be no Mass at 8:30 at OLA

nor
10:30a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s.

Bring your own folding chairs and bring your own food for a snack after Mass.

There will be coffee and juice.

DIOCESAN CLERGY APPOINTMENTS
Effective 1 August


On retirement of Fr. Gerhard Hartmann, Fr. Mike Favero goes to St. Rose of Lima Church in Sooke;
Fr. Vincenti Borre to St. Patrick’s in Campbell River;
Fr. Bill MacDonald OMI is on a six month sabbatical;
Fr. Alfredo Monacelli as assistant Pastor at Holy Family - Notre Dame, in Port Alberni with outreach ministry to First Nations on West Coast ;
Fr. Slawomir Sciechowski, SDS has returned to his community in Vancouver, and will be replaced by another member of the SDS (Salvatorians);

and

Fr. Clement Nwanko to Our Lady Queen of the World, Shawnigan Lake, and to St. Francis Xavier, Mill Bay.

 
 

OFFICE SUMMER HOURS

The office will not be open on Fridays in July and August.

Office Hours:

Tuesday to Thursday from
8:30am to 12:30pm.

The office will also be closed
on Tuesday July 1st for the Canada Day holiday


NB: CHURCH SECURITY
As the Parish Office is closed during the afternoons, please be reminded that all groups using St. Elizabeth’s meeting rooms or building during the afternoon and evening periods are responsible to ensure the building is secure before leaving.


PRE-APPROVED DONATIONS (PAD’s)

You now have the option to support our parish through the use of a pre-approved donation
rather then the weekly white envelopes. On the 5th of each month, your contribution is
automatically debited from your bank account.
